Artistic Photographer Based in Surrey
Since my sixth birthday, when I received an instamatic camera, I have loved photography and its ability to freeze moments in time. Growing up in beautiful Malawi - the Warm Heart of Africa, gave me a great deal of inspiration and many photographic opportunities. I have had an interest in photography since then, a passion that has grown, not disappeared over time.
I love to be behind a camera, observing, and recording events, as they unfold before my eyes. I like to use natural light, wherever possible and prefer unposed photographs, which capture the essence of the moment and the person.
My photographs tell a story, freezing special moments in time, enabling them to be displayed and re-lived for many years to come.

Although I am a keen photographer myself, as I look around my house, it is Ruth’s work that I see all around me. She manages to capture perfect expressions of joy, reflection, wonder, and even sadness in faces of the people that I love.
At my 50th birthday party, not one of the hundreds of the photos she took was ‘posed’, or staged and, looking through them years later, I can experience the event all over again. Not only does she have a keen eye for detail, she has also fully mastered the technical aspects of the craft and can manipulate light and shadow and textures to create masterpieces, in even the dullest of settings.
I cannot think of entrusting the recording of my special events to any other photographer.”
